Masterful Storytelling: Cohort-based narrative strategy education and B2B programs

Masterful Storytelling was a cohort-based learning venture built with Adam Davidson (Peabody Award-winning journalist and co-founder of NPR’s Planet Money). It ran from 2021 to 2022. The aim was to teach narrative strategy as a practical tool for founders, teams, and organizations, using a high-touch, workshop-driven model.

My role

Co-founder and Creative Director. I led experience design, curriculum development, brand and communications, and helped build the operating system that made the program sustainable.

What I did

  • Built the curriculum and learning journey, translating narrative craft into teachable frameworks, live exercises, and cohort rhythms.

  • Designed and ran workshops that combined editorial rigor with practical application for participants across sectors.

  • Built the product and operations stack (workflows, onboarding, templates, marketing systems) and developed reusable teaching assets that scaled across cohorts and client engagements.

  • Supported and helped close B2B engagements, including work with organizations such as LinkedIn, ParkerGale, and Source Intelligence.

What we made

Narrative frameworks and toolkits, cohort curriculum, Miro boards and templates, facilitation plans, brand system and communications assets, onboarding and ops workflows.

Outcomes

A repeatable cohort program with a strong learning experience, a durable library of narrative IP, and measurable traction through B2B partnerships and revenue generation. More importantly, participants left with narrative tools they could actually use in strategy, fundraising, sales, and internal alignment.
